Hello,
I will be travelling through much of Western/Eastern Europe and Turkey with a few electronic devices and was curious what I need for a converter, or if I need one. I will be travelling with a Canon Digital Camera Ion Lithium Battery Charger (input 100V-240V, and an ipod charger (100v-240v). I have seen the converters for close to $50 USD and am not sure I really need all that, will I be ok with the regular plug converters?? Thanks,
John

Plug converters will be fine - most of Western Europe runs on 220v round 2 pin, with the exception of the UK (230v rectangular 3 pin) and some other 230v countries. Generally, +/-20v isn't a problem. It only becomes an issue when you change the voltage by a great amount, or change the frequency (this can cause problems with motors - e.g. hairdriers etc). For a rough guide, check out www.listenhear.co.uk/voltages.htm

or change the frequency (this can cause problems with motors - e.g. hairdriers etc). . . . or clocks. which i learned the hard way when i took my clock-radio w/ me to Germany as a student. we're on 60 cycles, most of europe is on 50 cycles.
