Hey Char, Well... I bought my tickets a long time in advance. In February. I actually had travel vouchers for continental (on a trip last summer i was a volunteer to get a later flight), so the flight was really cheap ($450). I found these websites, www.globalfreeloaders.com www.hospitalityclub.org I can tell you other ones if you are interested. Basically these sites are free accomodation sites, people all over the world volunteer to host folks in there home. I wrote to all of these sites, and have a free place to stay for about 8 days of my trip. I did a lot of research about hostels and ended up booking. The way i'm traveling from place to place is budget airlines like www.easyjet.com www.ryanair.com A rail pass was not really in my budget. I'm planning on going to London, Paris, Brussels, Rome, Bologna, and Amsterdam. I'm going for 28 days exactly. The plane ticket was around $450, For most of my travel around Europe, it cost $115, (those plane tix are already purchased) all I need to do is buy a ticket from Paris to Brussels, and a few train tix in Italy. I'm budgeting about $100 for those total. My housing total will be no more than $400. For five days in London, Amsterdam, and Rome, and two in Brussels. I'm staying in places with kitchens, so I can cook my own food to keep costs on the low end. (I dont eat out multiple times a day in the US so why would I over there?) So...half of my trip is paid for before I even take-off. I've been working two jobs, and saving money, and I have a little extra financial aid this year, and am taking about $2000. I'll update you as to how much I actually spend.

HA! I remember seeing those photos now. Good job, I'm sure burrito is good for starting up conversations with the girls - and it's even cheaper than beer. Good thinking bara.
