Hi! I'll be leaving Montreal at 7 at night and getting to Prague at 11 in the morning, which means no night for me! I was wondering, I know you've talked about it before but I can't find it, what is the best way to fight jet lag except sleeping in the plane? I know not going to bed once I get to Prague is a good way, but are there any natural pills or things like that? thanks xoxo jen

Some people believe melatonin works well. I've heard valerian and camonile recommended while you are on the plane - to help you rest and sleep. Try to get exercise and sunshine once you land, and yes, not taking a nap is very important. I think the time difference is about 6 hours? Would it help if you started going to bed a couple hours earlier and getting up a couple hours earlier? Then it would be like you had only a 4 hour adjustment - sort of.

After 4 trips to Germany, I think I have a handle on the jet lag. Of course, I have a total 13 hr flight and 9 hour time difference since I am in California. I take 2 Excedrin PM (don't know if those are available in Montreal) just before dinner is served. Then I put on an eye mask and put in ear plugs. I can usually get 3-4 hours sleep on the plane and this helps alot. After arrival, I take a quick shower to freshen up and wake me alittle more. Walk, walk walk. Stay busy and don't go to bed until at least 9PM. I usually wake up the first 3 nights....so I take Excedrin PM to help me sleep all night. But I feel refreshed and well the 2nd day I am there. Hope this helps you a bit.
