Hi! I am going to ask at the airport to make sure, but I figured if any of you knew it could help a lot! I know you can only bring back to Canada about 1 L of beer, that's what it says on the Canadian government site anyways.. I was wondering if it was possible to bring back a little more and pay the taxes... What do you think? Am I totally off track? If I can, do you know about the fees I may incur? Well hey...ain't going to the best beer place in the world for nothing, I'd like to have my dad and my ex taste this fabulous beer like I brought back last year! xxo Jen

Last year I accidentally brought back 2L of vodka, instead of the 1.14L that we are allowed to bring back into Canada. I declared it on the form, and the customs agent saw that, but just waved me through without having me pay anything extra.
I don't suppose you can count on that happening, though.

1 L booze, 200 cigs......duty free....believe 'wine' falls into it's own class and think you can bring 4 L of that.....I'll go check and get back to you nope....1 L alcohol duty free of any kind here's the link for full explanation: www.customs.ustreas.gov/xp/cgov/travel/leavingarrivinginUS/vacation/ (see Know Before You Go) (Edited as long link was making the posts not scroll)

Thanks alot! I'm going to try to avoid buying cigarettes in Europe. If i remember correctly, in France at least, they were very expensive.

About 3.60 euro most everywhere.....UK was the highest I encountered, Poland the cheapest. Big budget buster where ever you are. ;D
