I would not bring a tent. I stayed the same time that you are planning, it is not worth it. Even a sleeping bag is doubtful. But there are some very cool campsites that are not that far outside town that I stayed in. One such I Michealanglo Campground in Florence (tents included in Cost). It offered the best view of the city and only took 15- 20 walk to central Florence. Some small towns you might be able to get away with free camping (no fire) just by walking outside the town and setting camp. Try both, it is just more to expose yourself too.

Hi there, is it legal to sleep in a cemetery in Europe ? I am from France, and cemeteries are closed in France at night. Usually they close around 5 / 6 PM. Having a tent and sleeping gear in Europe ? Hell why not !! Try it out, and tell us out it was. I would not advise it. I would suggest youth hostels. I used them in France, and they CHEAP, and you can use their kitchen and gear to cook if you want. Best regards Gourvy

even if you could sleep in a cementary would you really want to? I mean I don't know about you but that would be freaky I don't think I'd have to worry about sleeping....the smallest noise would give me a heart attack....but at least I'd be in the right place ;D
