ok, if the answer to this question isnt what I am expecting then I just may be totally screwed anyway, with only a little over a month to go. But I need a little reassurance.
I got married two years ago, so the name on the front page of my passport is my maiden name, but it was amended - on the last page of the passport - to read my married name. We are booking all of our tickets in my married name. Is anyone going to give me trouble becuase the name on the first page is different?

Probably not...but....take along a copy...COPY....of your marriage certificate and also of your DL which shows your current married name. As long as you have the ammendment in the back all should be well, but additional 'back up' paperwork can never hurt! Just be prepared that it might take you a bit longer to clear customs/border control and be patient and agreeable to that.....

you might could call the airline and ask about any probs with the tix.
and, maybe email the embassys of the countrys you plan to visit, to ask them. i worried about problems because my passport was due to expire in less than 6 months on my spring trip (didn't notice this until too late to get a new one) but, had no problems on the trip. was never asked about it.
