I just found out that my health insurance through my company is going to stop while I go on my leave of absence for our trip (I was told I could pay the premium and keep it going but oh well they were wrong) So now I can pay COBRA for $600 a month!!! or try to find my own insurance. I am thinking that COBRA probably wouldnt cover me overseas anyway. So my question is, have any of you ever purchased travel health insurance? and what was your experience with it? I am looking now at the coverage offered through hostelling international, they have a minimal free coverage, but offer upgrades for what seems like a reasonable fee to me. Thanks, Megan

Travel Cuts also offer a pretty decent travel insurance that covers the health insurance. Plus it's pretty cheap.
