hello all i had a question, i'm going to be backpacking for two weeks, and i'm taking my digital camera-- as i won't be in any hostels and such, i was wondering where i could possibly charge my battery? is there any way i could possibly go to a cafe every so often and use their outlets? or is that asking too much?

ONIROS, could you provide a bit more detail on your travel plans and what type of batteries your Camera uses? What will you be using for lodging on your trip?
I might be able to offer some suggestions with a bit more information.
Cheers!!!

oops, sorry i'd need an outlet in order to recharge my battery, and as i've planned it as a strictly backpacking trip, i won't be in any towns/villages unless absolutely necessary for supplies. thus, for lodging, i'll be camping... so excited! cheerio

one way is to get a USB phone charger, so you can charge at internet cafes.
also i find that certain trains have sockets, esp. longer distance ones.

ONIROS, what kind of Cameras and Batteries are you using? If you're strictly going to be camping, it does certainly limit your options for charging. Solar Power is one possibility, although that adds more kit that you have to pack around. Radio Shack has some compact Solar Chargers. They're a bit on the expensive side, but would probably solve your problem.
Using power facilities at an Internet Cafe could work, however that would be at the whim if each Cafe operator. Also, you would have to remain at the Cafe for the duration of the charging time, which might interfere with your sightseeing plans? The same problem exists in using a USB Charger; the source is different but the charging time is the same.
I'll give this some more thought, but it would help to know what kind of Camera equipment you're using. This probably should be in the "Cameras" section, as you might get more replies.
Cheers!!!
