I would like to purchase the travel insurance listed on this website, but am curious about something. I'm on the page where you enter your credit card info. what happens after that. I don't see any information about receiving a policy or a card and it does not even ask for an address, just a name and birthdate. Has anyone purchased this insurance from here and how does it work? How will I receive my policy and insurance card. thank you very much!

I'm not entirely sure, but I've bought insurance before and have only had to print it out. Maybe it's the same? All they really need is your name and DOB, and all you really need is a policy number and contact details anyway. The policy booklet can be a pain if you have to print it though - the booklet for my policy is over 35 A4 pages.

I haven't purchased it yet, but I have already printed the policy. I'm assuming when I do buy it, I will get a policy number. So you're suggesting that I do not bring the policy book with me then, is that right? I agree, that would be quite bulky to carry around. I am taking a journal with me, so I will write the policy # and contact phone #'s. thank you for your advice! ;D

I never normally carry the policy booklet. The only time I took it was when I went to Latvia prior to the EU expansion as I needed proof of health cover in order to get through immigration.
A good idea is to email yourself the policy # and contact details. Then just in case you lose everything you still have the details on a server - I normally do this, along with other important information (people's addresses, flight details etc).

Yes, once you buy the insurance you are send a confirmation with the policy number and terms included.
Sorry I took so long in responding to this - I wanted to double check with the company to make sure and that is what they said.
