Is it a good Idea to bring a winter jacket?

Hell everyone,
I was just wondering if it's logical to bring a winter jacket if I'm planning to be in Germany, Switzerland during the winter as well as going snowboarding for a small portion of time. I thought I might be able to get away with wearing a (water proof) windbreaker with a couple sweaters underneath. Winter jackets are so much to carry the whole time and most of the time I’m in Europe I wont need it. Anyone have any suggestions??? Thanks

if you can handle being a little chilly at times, sure, but i hate being cold so I couldnt.It does get near freezing in winter in both countries.You can always buy one wile youre overthere and just pack it back to take home or just send it back via Mail for a few bucks
