I was wondering if any of you get homesick while in your travels? My upcoming trip is gonna be the longest away from home and I'm almost sure that there will be a point in which i will wish to just be home in my bed and in familiar surroundings. I cannot imagine for example traveling for 6 months! i think i would go crazy. During my last trip to europe i enjoyed myself very much but at the end of it i was so glad that i was over.

ugh...........3 weeks away and I got homesick. But that was because of a phone call I got out of the blue, and whether or not i'd answered it (I knew who it was when the phone rang, caller number display) it still would have made me long to go home to my friends.
It passed though, I decided instead of suffering the wishing to be around them, I'd just call them. So I did, and I got the comfort I was looking for, and I told them about the things I was missing (one being sitting around on a Saturday afternoon getting ready to head out with them) so they rang me the next time they did that!
;D
But then I get homesick when I stay away for a weekend....

I know I'm going to get homesick when I go away for the 2 months I'm prepared for that. Its silly theres this big lit up ALCAN sign in kingston and as soon as I see that no matter where I go I feel home and safe.
