Well, I leave on my trip tomorrow at 8:15 am and I have one final question.
Are velcrow pockets safe for keeping important stuff in? I have some shorts that have pockets on the leg of the short that open and close using velcrow. It's pretty hard to open without some force, plus its way lower than normal pockets, so I was thinking maybe I could keep stuff in there when I am getting sick of my moneybelt.
Any thoughts?

I personally still wouldn't use them. I'd use them for other items, like a camera say, or to shove some maps in. But I wouldn't use them for the important stuff. As funny as money belts may look, and as annoying as they seem, they can be life savers!
