You guys are the BEST! Yep, indeed it is the Lizard, taken just 2 weeks ago right after her Mom's graduation. She will sternly announce to you she is '5' now and getting bigger all the time. Last week she got her brown belt.....just one away now from the magical black! Next May they leave for Alaska....you will all have to listen to me cry hysterically when she is gone from my everyday view. Till then, and after, she remains the air that I breathe!

I figured that was "the Lizard" when I spotted the new photo in your signature. Yes, she is growing up fast! Congratulations on her brown belt. I know she worked very hard for it.
I can certainly relate to the change in your situation next May ("empty nest syndrome"). Why Alaska, it's so far from "home"? Although I don't have grandchildren in my life (yet!), I have one Son in England (and daughter-in-law in Oregon), another Son who has a very busy life (so I don't see him often), and a third Son & daughter-in-law who will be starting their life away from home soon, perhaps even this year. I'm not looking forward to the day they leave!
To take a somewhat philosophical view, I suppose this is an inevitable stage of life......
