Has anyone tried any of those online travel journal websites? I have heard of a few where you can map out your whole trip, upload pics, have an interactive journal etc. Any good or bad ones you know of? Just looking for the best way to keep my peeps informed about my journey while I am gone! thx, skye

Bootsnall is probably one of the best known and it's an excellent site as well. I posted all my from the road reports here on my long trip, here being Kim's site. I will allow though that something like boots has more options for travel journals indeed...photos, stubs, etc. It's a very reputable site.

My lil' sister, who's currently studying abroad, made a blog on www.blogger.com, paired with an account at Flick.com for photos. It's not specifically travel-oriented, but it's free and flexible and she seems to like it.
