I am a 19-yr-old college girl from Florida and wonder if the clothes I usually wear (lots of tank tops, flip flops/sandals, and short shorts and skirts) would be inappropriate while travelling in Europe. We will be visiting Valencia, Barcelona, Nice, Rome, Munich, Paris, Amsterdam, and London. Which cities are more conservative as far as fashion goes? We leave on Tuesday - any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Leave the short shorts at home and take along some shirts with sleeves! You are visiting many very 'religious' areas and tanks and short shorts are not only frowned on, they will deny you entry to churches, cathedrals and even some museums and other sites. Add to that, such attire, while perfectly 'normal' here in the states will immediately brand you a tourist and reflect a less than positive picture of yourself. For the most part, Europeans relegate such attire to the beach and no where else. You'll not find locals dressed that way on the streets.
