LovinEurope, I think Gimmelwald has become quite popular lately, and everyone that travels there seems to rave about it. From what I recall, CuriousToronto provided a great report on it following her visit (last year?).
I haven't been there yet, but am very much looking forward to it. I'm quite used to seeing mountain scenery, but Gimmelwald looks to be somewhat unique and quite spectacular!
Cheers!!!

Gimmelwald is definitely more about the outdoor stuff. But there are a lot of easy trails that give you great views of the scenery - more of outdoor walks than hikes per se. Plus you can ride the cable car to the top of the mountain and that is pretty cool in and of itself.
Also down in the valley there are some waterfalls to be seen, I dont think they involve a lot of hiking - but I didnt get a chance to see them since we did a lot of hiking up higher.
Overall, I would say, if you HATE being outdoors, then you probably want to skip it. But if you were thinking you might skip it because you arent a mountain climber - you really dont need to be.

I'm not athletic, not even close, but I loved Gimmelwald! I went up to Schilthorn! I walked around, went to Murren! You don't need to go on big hikes, just lounging around is great!
