As a devoted scrapbooker, i came across this site not too long ago. If you like to scrapbook, or make frames, or anything crafty, and you want to involve your travels, this site is awesome for extras! It has tons of stickers, paper, little details, etc. www.scrapyourtrip.com/They are based out of the the US, but they sell to Canada and internationally, and the prices are very fair, as compared to stores i visit locally and other websites. They have products for many countries, I looked through the Europe stuff, and there was tons of stuff for London, Paris, Italy, etc. I personally have yet to purchase anything, as i have yet to travel, but i will for sure be buying stuff once i go on my trip. Enjoy! ;D

How cool is that stuff! WT...check out the Italy pages. Now....if only knew how to do that stuff. I can sew anything and am pretty good with needlecrafts (or used to be at least)....but 'crafty', no, not me. I don't think I have the imagination for it.

Trust me, if u like pictures, you can do it... i would not consider myself crafty, either. I cannot sew or anything. If u really are interested, they have many magazines or books that focus on layouts, and give pages and pages of examples, so if u don't want to organize how the page looks, just pick one out that u like and copy it. But if you're anal like me, it can take u hours to do one layout (two 12 x 12 pages)... so it depends on how much time you have. U basically just move pics around to see what looks best on the page.

yes, you should definitely try scrapbooking - it is awsome! But be warned it can be costly and time consuming and addicting!! I am still working on my trip albums, I have two whole albums filled - 50 pages each, so really 100 12x12 scrapbook pages each. I am a lean mean scrapbooking machine - LOL. and I am probably not even half way done - still have to do italy, spain, france, poland and london. Oh and finish greece - which is proving really tough for me right now because all the pics of ruins look alike so I am running out of inspiration.
You can start out simple and copy off of layouts you see in magazines and stuff, and work your way up to the complicated stuff. Most of my really good layouts were 'scraplifted' from magazines, books and the internet.

Here's something you guys don't know about me - I actually get published in those scrapbooking magazines. I've had 6 layouts published so far with another 2 waiting to be published at the moment which will come out in the fall. I've done work for Scrapbook Trends, Memory Makers and Womens Day Scrapbooking. It's quite cool - you either get paid in supplies or cash, either way it's all good! Kim

I am so impressed! I am currently trying to figure out how to scan my layouts so they fit together, haven't figured it out yet. I think i need a more advanced photoshop program.
Kim u should post some of them online!

Wow, Kim, I am jealous! I really would like to see some of your stuff - or maybe I have LOL.
I hope to work up to submitting to magazines, but right now I am still learning, only been doing it since January, with a 2 month break in there where I had such bad morning sickness that I couldnt really do anything.
Plus, I try to do it on a budget, which makes it a little more challenging. I have trouble spending .50 per sheet of paper. So I usually buy my paper at one of the big stores in a big slab with a coupon, but I am not loving the prints right now, and starting to venture into the local scrapbook store and buy paper there, oh my!
And going to my first 'crop' tommorrow night! I am so excited!

I made a "travel scrapbook kit” last night to make my travel journal more interesting. In a small box, I have about 20 sheets of 4 X 6 colored paper and cardstock, 10 colored pens, a glue stick, liquid glue, vellum quotes, folding scissors & 2 sheets of stickers. Now when I go on my trip, this’ll be something fun to do on the 6 train trips we’re taking (and make me more likely to actually write!).
I’ve got more materials for use at home, like those 3D embellishments someone mentioned (the France & Italy ones). Do you guys have Joann’s and Michaels stores where you live? I comb the paper every Sunday for their 40% off coupons!

But Kim, how did you get to actually doing that? I mean, getting published!
I love scrapbooking and I love pages that are in those magazines, but i can't scrapbook like that for one reason : way too expensive. I mean, i could do it for a few pages if my goal was that, but i basically do it to not have those boring photo albums everyone has!
xoxo Jen
