I trying to set up a rough plan of my trip to europe and I need to find the distances between cities around europe. does anyone know of any good web sites that could help me in this matter? I try and google my search and I end up looking at maps for sale.(ha! ) any help is appreciated, thnks!!!!!!!!

You need kilometers or train times?
For train times, check out bahn.de / raileurope.com
They may not have the prices you want, but you'll have the times!

you can alwasy try using google earth... you can calculate distances with it. Jules

I would think that travel times between destinations would be a more relevant measure? As mentioned in previous posts, you can obtain this info from the Rail Europe or bahn.de websites.

www.multimap.com has a Western Europe route planner. The directions themselves can sometimes be a bit dodgy, but it's good if you want to know distances. Www.viamichelin.com is good as well.
