Thanks for posting this. What a disgusting way to treat people (of any nationality) who have suffered because of this terrible situation. I saw one news report describing a couple from Scotland who were stuck on a roof with a bunch of local residents, just trying to avoid the looters and armed gangs. They were desperate to get out of there and go home.
According to news reports last night, I suspect Canadians were in the same situation. Several of them managed to get home last night, after they managed to make their way to Houston. Although Reporters and others were being allowed into the stricken area, Canadian Consular officials were reportedly denied entry so they've been unable to get an accurate count of the numbers of Canadians left in the city.
