Good for you, Jen! i hope you enjoy yourself!
i also hope you can earn plenty on cash to use in your travels between now & then. borrowing money from a credit card is a very bad way to go. the rates there are terrible!

Well it's like money in your bank account. Kind of like a personal loan that is always there if you need it and you pay interest only on what you use.

ah, it's a line of credit. or that's what we call it in USA. what kind of rates do you get on those? Well it's like money in your bank account. Kind of like a personal loan that is always there if you need it and you pay interest only on what you use.

between 7 and 8 which is quite good! And on thursday i'll find out if I get my student credit line (hehehe) or credit margin whatever, this way it is possible to only pay back the interest during that time without penalty! Anyways, i better get the grant or the next years will be miserable

well, it's better than the 10% on credit card debt, which is good. but, when we just get little more than 5% on term savings, it isn't wonderful. i mean, there are home equity loans with credit lines of less than 6%. but, a home is pretty good colateral. between 7 and 8 which is quite good!
