Are there any non-european destinations anyone would recommend as a great or interesting place to visit. I'm not really into traditional vacations... ie. go to Florida and hang out at the beach and disneyland... so is there anywhere really cool anyone would recommend seeing?  |

In the north of Canada you can spend time on a reserve (not sure of the word in english) but with natives! That sounds cool! I would definetely do the Alaska/northern canada thing too  |

Hey Patrick - nice to see you back on the posts in the last few weeks! It's in the vicinity of Europe, but not Europe - Iceland. I loved it and would go back in a heartbeat - even if it's a little expensive for the budget traveller. How about Peru and Chile? Or, if you want to do the long-haul thing - Australia and NZ? I like the northern Canada idea too - I've only been to Toronto, so I guess that doesn't count.  |
