That's not an awkward question! It's perfectly reasonable. I heard about Bakken in Denmark, but did not visit it when I was there: www.frommers.com/destinations/copenhagen/A19496.htmlCheck out Disneyland Paris and Parc Asterix - both outside Paris. I suspect the rides might be tamer than you'd like, but check it out anyway. I remember there's an amusement park in Gothenburg, which I briefly visited, but I'm unsure if they have rollercoasters. Take a look here too: www.themeparkreview.com/

There's Alton Towers in the UK. Never been there but my best friend in the UK has. Might have to google for that though!

You can't beat a good rollercoaster! Space Mountain at Disneyland was like finding gold when I was a kid! Well, it was the early 80s. Vienna has the Volks Prater amusement park Depending on the time of year you're in Europe, Oktoberfest has a rides section which I always love going on - before the Steins though! Parc Asterix has a huge wooden rollercoaster, just make sure you check the dates for school holidays as both it and Disneyland Paris are v popular with French and English school kids and families during the holidays. It doesn't have a rollercoaster, but I loved Mini-Europe in Brussels, near the Atomium. Other places in the UK other than Alton Towers (although it is cool) are Thorpe Park (near London in Surrey) or Brighton Pier in Brighton for a mix of rides on the seaside. Don't know if it's any good, but have a look at www.themeparkcity.com/EURO_index.htm
