Rule No. 1 - Always expect it to rain in England.
It doesn't rain 24/7 but do expect sprinkles every now and then each day. I've been to England in April, May and June and I've always had hot sunny weather (must be a lucky thing!).
Last year, my grandparents visisted England in Sept. and Oct. and they said it was mild and nice. It occassionally rained but it was more up north than in London. Not sure what it would be like in November but it'd be darker and colder and probably a bit more rain than in the other months of the year.
Bring a travel umbrella with you anyways!

Hell yeah. 3 words: Wet, dark and cold(ish) - below 10C. Basically expect it to be overcast a fair bit - whilst the rain is never particularly heavy, you can end up with drizzle for days on end.

Could be four seasons in one day really. Mostly dark and wet however this year it seems to be quite bright and mild for the time of year. Take an umbrella.
The clocks also go backwards 1hr at the end of October so the nights get darker earlier.
