Help! I have a bunch of converters and I have no idea which one I need. Does anyone have experience with this?

It would help to know where you're coming from (ie what voltage you use for the appliances that you intent to take with you) first. Also, if you look in the Packing posts you'll find lots of advice on this topic. Europe (including the UK) operates on a 240v system, however th eUK has a different pin system to Europe.

EU (inc UK) runs on 230v 50hz, not 240v, although the 10v difference is not likely to make much of a difference. Check out users.pandora.be/worldstandards/electricity.htm - the site might be a bit technical, but it is fairly indeoth, covering everything you need to know.

At any rate, I have used 240v appliances all across Europe (as well as 230v) and have had no probs. This issue is when lower voltage appliances are used on a higher voltage - they blow up! Particularly hairdryers!
