I got my ISIC card for my upcoming trip (2 weeks till we leave!) ;D, and my travel partner just brought up a good question. Do I need to "activate" the card?
It says you need to provide proof of being a student. I bought it online, however there was no inquiry done at all.
I'm just worried I'll get to Europe and the card won't work!

Erm, I don't know. My friend had one and she didn't have to use her student card when using the ISIC card but she did bring it with her though. When she bought the card, she got a free phone credit on the ISIC card so she had to activate it but it never worked for her throughout the trip.
So I wouldn't worry about anything. No need to activate anything unless you're planning to use the phone credit. Otherwise it's just for "proof of student identity". Nothing more than that.
