Tents?

Hello, I will be going to Europe this summer, July - August, and will be camping for a week throughout the Algarve Region of Southern Portugal, mostly the Island of Tavira. Anyone have any suggestions for two person tents? Also was wondering if I would need a sleeping bag or not?
