Britian plug ins

What is the most common plug in for Britian? I have the D Type adapter (3 square prong). I've heard that Britian is phasing out the E Type (3 round prong), and they are converting over to the standard Europe plug in (B Type 2 round prong).

Can anyone confirm? I have a charger for mp3/camera equip. Do I need the E Typejust in case?

Also, do the trains in Europe have plug-ins where you sit?

When I was there last Dec all I ever ran into was the square prongs. Leaving in two weeks to go again so will let you know when I return. I'll ask about and see what I can find out for you.

Oh, I don't recall ever seeing a plug in on the trains....and I had a 1st class ticket......then again, I had no need of one so wasn't actually looking for them either.

actually i do think i remember seeing a plug in on the trains...i mean its been a few months, but for some reason i see on on the train in my mind, maybe it was on some of hte newer trains! ya just never know. good luck. emily
