so I need some advice- at night, when you go into the pubs/clubs/bars/restaurants in say Ireland, Scotland, Switzerland......how warm is it inside?
Here in Australia I get away with my summer tops inside at night (although not shoe-string straps, usually small sleeves, light weight, breezy clothes) in a pub during winter most of the time- sometimes I may need my jacket if its in a thorough fare for breezes! Would I be fine over there much the same, i.e., once I get inside I can get away with the nicer tops I do here? Or should I pack a long sleeved warmer top for inside when I go out? (obviously, I'll need my good warm jacket pre-going out and post-going out! I just want to know how warm it is inside these places...)
I need to figure that out now, because in the next two/three weeks all the really nice winter clothes will leave our racks, making room for summer clothes.
(and yes, I WILL need a nice going out top, we will be doing lots of that- although am only taking one and varying it with the trousers/jeans I'll have with me)

Ok, so I can't speak for Europe but here in Canada where it seems it can get a little cold, I always wear a nice going out top that's either sleeveless or short sleeves or such and you just leave your coat (and extra sweater!) at the coat check. Cause in my experience no matte what kind of bar or club, it always gets really hot!! And when you add alcohol to that well...

You're right, going out, I always wear a sleeveless top under my coat and leave my coat at the coat check! No choice, it gets too had in the club!
