Does anyone have any experence with inter-rail passes, i know they are only for people who live in Europe, but i was wondering if they allow you to travel at night e.t.c.
Thanks

I found this for you:
"If you have been in Europe for more than six months you are eligible for an InterRail pass. With the InterRail you have much the same freedom as the Eurail, except it is cheaper and covers more countries.
InterRail tickets are valid for unlimited travel in 29 countries which are divided into eight zones. You can buy an InterRail pass valid for one, two, three or all zones in the InterRail network.
Like the Eurail pass, the InterRail is substantially cheaper if you're aged under 26. The InterRail pass is good for unlimited travel within the selected zones for each day that the pass is valid.
InterRail is not valid for unlimited travel in your own country, although the InterRail pass does entitle the holder to discounted travel in their country of residence."
Doesn't sound like night travel would be a problem, but I'm sure you would pay a supplement fee like Eurail pass holders for things like couchettes (to sleep on in the train) for overnight trains.
