Hotel Booking

Hi there,

This is my first trip around Europe.

I am planing on going in august with a friend of mine.

What i need to know is how necessary is it to book hotels, hostels e.t.c and if so how far in advance.

Me personally, I don't like the stress of having to try and find a hostel when I arrive. Plus, you are going in the busiest month. If you know where you are going to be and when, I would book them now.

PS I think you should check out a post called "Heading to Rome" by GreenGuy, he's heading to Italy in Aug., maybe you guys will be there at the same time.
