Hi, This is probably a stupid question, but I was wondering what sort of locks to bring for my backpack? I've seen people refer to locks to lock together the zippers on your backpack, and some way to lock the backpack to your bed. I was hoping someone could explain very clearly exactly what kind of locks I'll need. Thanks! emily

Hi Emily, Here are some examples of the kind of locks you want to lock the zippers on your pack with. These ones are combination but you can also get the key locks. You want them to be small and lightweight and make sure you get enough for your pack as well as one for your daypack. You can also take something like a bike lock but make sure it's light. Cable Lock www.qksrv.net/click-711188-51566Kim

Hi emily!
in the past, i had a bicycle type cable lock where the end&cable was small enough to go through the tabs of the zippers on my pack. my brother has this lock now.
use the cable to lock your bag to the rack in your train compartment! i've heard horror stories of bags being nabbed from train compartments while owners doze!
