Ok....so I've decided to outfit myself with a new one... and lucky for me the sales are on, and all the rest of it, but alas, am having problems finding any reviews for the ones that are easiest for me to check out and peruse and purchase. Meaning, yes if I go to Sydney or something I might be able to find someone who stocks all the brands reccommended around these parts, with great reviews, but that seems a bit pointless really.
So I've been looking at ones available local to me, and well... I want to check out reviews independent of sales assistants (well OF COURSE you'd be using this one if you were going to Europe in February as well, you're PAID to say that..., just like you were paid to tell me what jacket you'd be wearing when you know I'm about to head across the road to the ski shop), etc, but I've found virtually none.
One that caught my eye today in a catalogue in the post was heaps discounted ($135, down from $270, aussie), (and as it turns out, a friend of a friend is able to probably get it cheaper for me by $10 or so, hush hush,) - tis a Mountain Design one, www.mountaindesigns.com , (the one on special is the Latitude) and while I'll go check it out in the shop and all, I also want some other reviews and its driving me insane trying to find anyone who has actually used any of their products and if they are worth it! I mean, apart from those who are paid to say yes the products are worth it!
ANYONE by any small chance (here's hoping) has any experiene of their packs and if I should bother or not bother?
(plus my dad is contributing to this for Christmas! ;D)
