just joined in and very much interested to mingle with fellow globetrotters. anyone can recommend a fabulous place in France for a chapel wedding? my sister's getting married, and well, I'm sorta the unofficial and pro-bono wedding planner.suggestions will be truly appreciated!

I can think of a few churches that would be nice for a wedding, but no chapels...sorry

Keep in mind with France that the legal marriage happens at city hall, and is severely restricted for non-residents. The religious ceremony can happen wherever, but has no legal significance. Maybe you can do the legal marriage in the US (if you are American) and then the personally meaningful ceremony in France.
I think any Catholic church or chapel would be off-limits if you aren't Catholic. If you are Catholic, maybe your parish has information about how you can get married out of parish.

Really appreciate the info on how marriage works in France. I'll pass on the info to my sister. They really want to get hitched on France btu with what you tipped off, getting officially and legally married here in New York would be the best and then go on a symbolic ceremony in France.
