Hi everyone,
We are a party of 4 planning to see Italy and Greece in about 3 weeks sometime at the end of April. Is this a good time to travel, ie not too cold and off-peak?
Haven't quite planned the interary but Florence, anyother city in Tuscany, Vatican City, Rome, Sorrento are must sees for Italy...
The general idea is to start and end in Italy, with a week in btwn for Greece...have no idea where to go in Greece other than Corfu...
Any suggestions re order of cities, places to stay etc...
Yours helplessly, Spotted Cow

It would be probably too cold for swimming, but otherwise it's just fine.
I suspect, though, that going to Greece and back is a good idea...

hi nitsansh,
thanks for replying..btw, i've started this thread in a more appropriate forum (pre-planning).
great to know that it'll be cold...better cold than hot i always say!
i think i'll be checking out for open-jaw tickets to fly home from greece as well...to save time..

Just looked it up for you and the rainy season will be over in Greece, which is good. (You don't want to take those hydrofoils in the choppy weather!!)
On the islands at the end of March, you are looking at around 16' C.

Corfu, and the Ionian islands in general, are cooler and wetter than the rest of Greece. In April the average low temp is 10C, and one of 3 days is rainy.
