Positano, is it worth it?

I will be travelling in Italy this summer with my boyfriend. We will be hitting the busy cities and I have heard some nice things about the Amalfi coast region of Positano. It would be nice for us to stay somewhere restful and beautiful by the water for a few days after the cities. It will be a bit out of our way though as the other cities we are visiting are only as far south as Rome. I dont mind the travel though if it is worth it.

I would be really grateful for any information you have about whether you loved Positano as a place to rest?, Thanks

Hi there,
My two friends are overseas at the moment and they can't stop going on about Postina (excuse my spelling). Neither of them were looking forward to Italy as they thought France was more for them... but how quickly they changed their minds. They spent 4 days there on the beaches and at the cafes and loved this place more than the others - and said that it looks like a picture book it's that beautful.
