I found a good deal with Malev for my flight to Zagreb... it allows one stop over in Budapest, and I deliberate whether to make that stop... and if so, for how long? Any comments on what to do in Budapest, where to stay, etc will be welcome... I have to make a quick decision, as this offer is available only till Thursday!

Budapest is said to be VERY interesting! i've never been there, so didn't want to reply here. but, since no one else did, felt compelled to say something.

Hi Nitsansh, I loved Budapest! BUT.....I was there the year before the wall fell so it's been awhile now. Howevewr, it is a beautiful city and well worth a couple of days. I can give you more specifics, and will, but wanted to fire this off to you since I missed this post this morning. I feel certain you will find the stop and your time well used to allow a couple of days here!

The decision is already made... I stop for 9 hours (which is about 6 hours net) on my way to Zagreb on May 1st, and 2.5 days on the way back, from noon on May 15th till the evening of May 17th. My 1st choice hostel is the Red Bus, very central and got good reviews. I plan to check that on May 1st before making the decision...
