Of course. But I would probably rank copenhagen's mermaid right up there.
Actually that would probably be a good forum topic... or poll type of question... top 10 tourist traps in europe.

Brussels = a 3 week hangnail that is killing u slowly. I hated that place with a freakin passion. If u are takin ryanair by chance from there make sure u go to the right airport. With my experience with ryanair i would go easy jet. Ryan air is garbage terrible customer service. and i also go banned from their airlines lol cheers Gary P.s. dont do Rotterdam either

Yes u did but i had no choice then try to catch a plane from there to London. But damn Brussels really does suck. I thought Bishop,Ca was bad. Brussels makes it a happy playground. I URGE EVERYONE NOT TO GO TO BRUSSELS AND not to USE Ryanair. cheers! Gary

Hi Eve, Well, you are likely not the only person who did not hate Brussells, but so far you are the only one willing to enter in the debate. ;D While the overriding feeling here is indeed that it is a no-go.....it IS a big tourist stop so maybe we all missed something? I am serious here, not being facious at all. Can you tell us what you enjoyed and why? We most assuredly steer folks away from this town and it would be nice to have another point of view.

Sure. I went with my boyfriend, we found the streets in and around Grand Place to be really romantic and we enjoyed strolling around, especially at night, all the buildings are lit up. The architecture was lovely too. We had great fun walking around and discovering new places and things to look at. We just really enjoyed ourselves. The food is lovely, the people were all friendly to us, they all spoke great english.....I dont know why people think them to be rude, they certainly were not with us. We went to the Palace of Justice and there is a great view of the whole city from there. The Atomium and Mini Europe, in the Bruparck in Heysel, a little train journey away, is great fun. The Atomium is a bit boring on the inside but you get a great view from the top of it and Mini Europe is great, its all miniatures of monuments and places in Europe ie. Big Ben in London, Mount Vesuvius, Berlin Wall, Venice and so on. Heres the link anyhow www.minieurope.com/Its only 10 euro or so to get into the Atomium and Mini Europe. I really enjoyed walking thru Parc de Bruxelles and then onto the Cinquantenaire, "The Triumphal Arch". I thought it was beautiful. www.trabel.com/brussel/brussel-cinquantenairepark.htmWhether you like museums or not its a nice place to visit, there are a few museums in the Cinquantenaire. This might sound weird but we found a museum in Brussels that had a dinosaur expo, it has fossils and whole skeletons that they found in a coal mine, its pretty cool. So basically, great restaurants, Bars, friendly people, easy to get around: great public transport, lots to look at, beautiful scenery: best to be seen walking around as we found more places that way. And Im looking forward to my trip back there in October. We are doing all the Benelux Countries

I stand by my orignal statement. Brussels is a dump. Minus the grand place area. That is nice. Besides that the EU should revise on relocating it's headquarters. Because it's a terrible place. lol Sorry if i were to do it again i would go to Antwerp or Brugges. Just my opinion! take care and happy traveling Gary
