Hi!! I have read in a few places that there is a short cruise on the lakes at Interlaken that is free with a eurail pass. I was wondering if this would use up a day though, or is it really just free.
Thanks for everyone's advice and questions. This website is great!!! ;D

Nope, it shouldn't use up a day.
We used it to do a lake cruise somewhere in Switzerland, can't remember where though and it didn't use up a day. You just had to show your pass.

While this is true if you are using your pass as transportation by boat, I'm pretty positive that we did not use a day for this cruise. I don't think it's considered transportation, as you end up where you started.
I checked my travel journal and it was the same lake cruise we took as well.
I will check into this for you, Kristy.
