I have a flannel sleep sheet, I was shopping with a friend that went to Europe a few Mays ago and she said that was what she used. However, it's kind of big, even when rolled up, and I tend to get hot in my sleep, so i don't know if it's worth bringing. I'm leaving in three days and I'll be going to Scotland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France. I'll be home mid June.

Have you checked the weather reports for those places? Although there'd be no forecast far enough ahead for all your stops it might give you a general idea if it'll be cool enough anywhere for the flannel.

in italy and most of france you'll probably find a flannel sleep sheet to be quite warm in june.

Daniela, as you're apparently leaving in a few days, there probably isn't time to worry about an alternative sleep sheet at this point. However, you could look at alternatives for the next trip.
I've never encountered a flannel sleep sheet before, but imagine this would be quite warm! The other two materials used are cotton (or a blend) and silk. From what I've seen, most travellers eventually switch to silk sleep sacks as these have good thermal properties and pack in a very compact space.
It would probably be a good idea to bring your present sleep sack on this trip (if you can fit it in), but you may find that you only use this occasionally. Many Hostels provide a sleep sack / pillow with the room.
Good luck and have a great time on your trip!!!

Thanks guys, i packed my stuff and that sheet was definetly not fitting so i got my Mom to sew a new sheet that is much more compact. I really wanted a silk one but as of now all my funds are tied up for Europe so this will have to do.
