Welcome! I do hope you will take advantage of the search function on this board as backpacks have been discussed in great detail over the years. Generally, the smaller the pack, the better for ease of travel. It depends on the time of year you travel and your overall body strength. As I have said many times, for myself, the actual size matters not nearly so much as the weight and what you can handle. The biggest pack, loosely packed within your strength ability is no worse than the smallest, tightly packed but still within your weight limit. For much, much information and thoughts on this though....do a quick search and return with further questions.

txtech, I don't think any travel or web site can recommend a specific size Pack for a one month trip (or a trip of any duration), as this is pretty much a personal choice and will depend on how much gear each person wants to haul around.
As Dustoffmom mentioned, there's lots of info on Packs already on the Boards, but I usually follow the rule that one should pack the same for three weeks as for three months. The "average" size seems to be about 55-65 L. but some "minimalist" travellers seem to be able to get by with just a 35 L. Pack (about the same size as a Daypack).
If you haven't bought a Backpack yet, keep in mind that you can buy them via a link on this site if you don't have a shop in your area. Eagle Creek Packs are a favourite of many here. Wherever you buy your Pack, be sure you are properly fitted according to your torso size. You'll have to decide whether you want a detachable Daypack, stowable harness system, etc.
Good luck and happy travels!!!

I'm looking for eagle creek products in Toronto, does anyone know of any stores? I've done a search and have come up empty so far.
Thanks in advance.

johnv, not sure where you've searched, but you might try www.eaglecreek.com/store_locator.html. Click on the Canada section and search Ontario stores. There's LOTS of them listed! Good luck!!!
