Oh sorry, my question is:
What is the difference? Can I get away with the cheap one? Or is the expensive one just so much better??
THanks!

Kim has the low down on the best lightweight travel towel...she sent me one to test! But I can't recall off hand what brand it was. If she doesn't see this and reply email her about it. My granddaughter loved 'Kim's' towel so it is no longer among my possessions. Very absorbant, very thin and lightweight....it's a great one. I only I could remember which it was! ging

Gee...thanks. You are most welcome. Called my daughter to get the info on 'Lizzy's favorite' towel. She said the label says: Aquis Adventure........ultra absorbant If that is any help before Kim signs in. I can tell you it is wonderful! Lizzy used it at the pool all the time and it fully sufficed to dry a 5 year old, long hair and all, with dry spots to spare to huddle up with. Again, very thin, very lightweight, highly suggested! ging

Yep, those Aquis ones are great! I should see if they will donate some more for prizes. Their website is: www.britanne.com/You can get them through Amazon.com or www.ellenoire.com, for purchases in Canada. Kim

that towel's name makes me think of acquis communautaire. the term for the system of governmental and judicial standards required for candidate states to advance an application to become part of EU. Yep, those Aquis ones are great! I should see if they will donate some more for prizes.

the one at MEC for 27$ is what i have and its very soft, very absorbant and dries very quickly.... i don't know what the brand is. the less expensive one is bigger and coarser and i seem to remember it resembling a shammy for a car! it was one of my best investments for my trip.

isnt there a kind of law that you need a towel with your country flag on it if you go backpacking in other countries? at least they seem to be quite popular.
