Italy Packing?

This will be my first time in another country and I'm going to be spending 10 days (aug 7 - 17) in Italy and I was wondering what kind of clothes would guys would recommend packing? I plan on visiting the more historical and Conservative areas as well as exploring the nightlife. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

it depends on where you are going. i would suggest bringing shorts and some light shirts in rome. i was there and it got pretty warm. the farther you go south the warmer it gets.
