My friends and I of course will be touring this summer. I would like opinions from the vets about whether to go from Dublin, on the 20th of June until the 23rd of June, on which day we will fly to London for the last leg of our trip. Go to Barcelona for these days or Brussels?
Note that we will be flying RyanAir to both of these destinations and therefore will be approx. 1 hour out of Brussels and 1.5-2 hours out of Barcelona (correct me if I'm wrong on these numbers) when we arrive at these destinations mid day. Which would you guys do?

Hmm.. well upon reading on the board more alot of people do not like Brussels. So any other advice for a city we could go to for 3 nights or so that would be interesting. (note we are college students with a little money.. enough to hopefully party some at night and of course with good atmosphere and stuff to look at in the day time.)
Non-Barcalona places work as well, as this is June it might be hot there. (going to be tired of hot, being from Mississippi and all..)
I'm going to post my itenerary in here for right now to see what you guys think about it, then maybe post again in the other forum.

Amsterdam is supposed to be cool. Many people like Paris (i'm not one of them... its beautiful i'm glad i've been but i'm not a fan of the french attitude). i'm a big fan of rome and i don't imagine the flight to rome would be much long than the flight to barcelona.

Brugges is very beautiful but you need 24-48 hours max. if you're picking just one city on the continent, i'd pick one where you actually can spend 4-5 days. and brugge you'd get bored after 2 days.

Yes, we had 3 nights I believe, maybe 4. So a good place for that time and that we could get to from a city in Ireland via cheap airlines would be preferable.

Well I am a HUGE Barcelona fan so I would definitely recommend it. It's full of culture and the most vibrant city I've been to- you will most certainly not be bored. And don't worry too much about the heat. I've been there in mid July and though it was warm, there's a nice sea-breeze in the city so it's never gets too humid. And if it is hot, there's the mediterranean right there, so you can easily go for a dip. I also found Barcelona quite cheap compared to other european cities (especially London). Been to Brussels. Cute little city but not much to see/do there so I wouldn't spend more than a day there.
