yo, Buddy Holly dude, take some silk long johns to wear under whatever pants you decide on. if you wear jeans, it might not hurt to waterproof them before you go. if you have wool pants, they would work. - d What all should i bring as far as types of pants for winter, Jeans? how many sweaters/jackets and what types? where are you from?
you will definitely need something warm for prague and munich. if you're not from somewhere cold you might find it difficult to get a coat or even thermals of the right weight, my advice would be to leave some space in your luggage and be prepared that you might have to buy a coat locally once you find out how cold it is.

Some Goretex clothes (or similar), can help you a great deal. for Amsterdam, Prague and Munich expect rain (at least be prepared for that, if you are unlucky snow). Don't forget that Madrid is in the middle of Spain, and it can get cold there aswell, and at some points in the city it's very windy, and when there is a cold wind coming from the mountains or the planes, it can get cold.
