I really want to head for northern europe around mid June, Im still at the planning stage, but so far I intend to fly from Cork (ireland) to amsterdam, form there to copenhagen, form there to Sweeden (Gothenburg or Stockholm not sure yet) leaving me with time to take in one more city. Im thinking Berlin or Krakow. Ill probably be traveling alone. The objectives of my trip are to meet people, sample the local cultures and food, do a little partying, chill out and try and see anything worth seeing.
What i want to kno is:
Are these cities good places to visit in terms of my objectives , or should i go back to the drawing board?
Are they good backpacking cities and am i likely to meet a lot of fellow backpackers or are any of them generally not that popular with backpackers?
And could anyone help me out in deciding between my swedish destinations, and my final destinations?

I can't help you too much, i've only been to ireland, amsterdam, and berlin of the destinations you've mentioned but i think you've got a very good plan in the places your going. Ireland is a good place for meeting people because everyone's really friendly, and out the the three places i've mentioned they are all contrasting places very rich with culture. Berlin and Amsterdam are also very good for going out.

late Spring in Sweden sounds nice. but, it might be a little chilly.
if you opt for Stockholm, and have an interest in historic ships, the Wasa (not to be confused with those crackers of similar name) makes an interesting stop. [Wasa capsized on her maiden voyage in 1628, in Stockholm harbour]
