I was just browsing through the money matters section when I came across the fact that it states Canadians you will need a visa for the Czech. Republic. Is this still true? Heading there in June and just want to make sure...

depends on how long you want to stay, should be no problem at 30 days or less. this looks quite useful: www.boehmerwaldjournal.de/en.html#89f36e94ad0e93309; but I'm not sure what they mean with "entry into the Czech Republic can be denied at the border crossing by the Aliens and Border Police". have never seen aliens patrolling the borders, but its been a while since i was there...

Schmemily, I don't believe Canadians require a Visa for the Czech Republic any longer. This was changed about a year ago, from what I remember. I believe the only restrictions would be for those planning to stay long periods of time, or those intending to work in the CR. Hopefully someone else on the Board can confirm this.
Happy travels!!!

As always, Eagle is correct The Government of the Czech Republic has decided to lift its visitor visa regime for citizens of Canada. As of May 1, 2004, holders of valid Canadian passports no longer require visas to enter the Czech Republic for visits up to 90 days - such visitors are prohibited from engaging in gainful employment during this time.
