Well it`s coming fast and I`ll be flying off to Europe again in just 2 months and a half (leaving on May 29th). Most of my trip is planned out but I still have a few unanswered questions and I thought I`d come here and ask and see if anyone can help It's been a whole year of planning and my itinary changed a lot since the 1st time i posted here a few months ago, it`s not even close to what it was at first lol
Anyways ... my first stop will be Copenhagen, Denmark, where I`ll be visiting a friend of mine. I`ll be there for 4 days (not counting my arrival and departure date), other than the tourist attractions like the little Mermaid, Tivoli gardens etc .. anyone`s got any suggestions of what else I could see there as my friend won't be able to be with me all the time, I'd like to see as much as I can on my short stay there. I was told I could easily take a Ferry to Malmö, Sweden, anyone been there? Is it worth the trip and money ??
My second question is actually for a friend of mine who will be visiting France while I'll be in Denmark. You see after my short stay in Denmark, i'm flying off to Switzerland where I'll be visiting my mom for a couple of days and my friend and I have planned to meet up in Gimmelwald for a full day (I know one day is not enough, but that's all the time we have ). Anyways, my friend will be spending a few days in Marseilles and Avignon, France and she'll meet me in Gimmelwald and would also like if possible to make a stop in Montreux to see the Chateau de Chillon. Any idea what's the easiest way to travel from Avignon to Montreux ?? I was thinking she could travel to Geneva and then on to Montreux, but I can't seem to be able to find any trains doing that route. I checked also through Grenoble, but nothing either. Any ideas ??
Finally, any ideas what else I could see while in Switzerland ?? I've been to Bern, Zurich, Basel, Arosa, Chur, Lucerne, Interlaken, Brienz, Lausanne, Geneva, Zermatt .. most major cities I've seen and I have 2 days planned in the Brissago/Lugano/Locarno region on this trip
thanx for your help
