I leave in 18 days!! I am super excited for this trip. Just want to say thanks to Kim and everyone on this site, you all have been super helpful over the past nine months of my planning.
Here is my itinerary. Hostels are booked up to (and including) Cinque Terre. We are staying with family in Florence and Rome.
May 1 - 9: Scotland (Edinburgh, Tour, Glasgow) May 10 - 13: Berlin May 14 - 15: Nuremberg May 15 - 16: Munich May 17 - 18: Lucerne May 19 - 21: Gimmelwald May 22 - 23: Venice May 24 - 27: Florence May 28 - May 31: Rome June 1 - 3: Cinque Terre June 4 - 7: Nice June 8 - 12: Paris (we'll probably visit Normandy during this time too)
So my questions: Is 4 days in Nice too long? i know there are a couple places we could visit from there, but is there somewhere else near by (or between Nice and Paris) that is worth visiting? If we do stay in Nice, I can see that Villa Saint Exupery has been recommended by various people on this site, but is it too far away from the city? Is there transportation nearby?
Any other thoughts are also welcome. Thanks again for the help!

Hi Daniela,
is 4 days in Nice too long? Probably, but as always it depends on the sights/day trips you were planning to do while you're there (Monaco, Antibes, St Paul de Vence, etc). Three nights are probably enough: June is a good time of year as the weather would have warmed up by then so you could hang on the beach all day if you wanted to relax, spend a day sightseeing and then travel towards Paris and stop along the way for a night. Some suggestions for stopovers - Lyon (great food & wine, trek up the hill to the other Notre Dame cathedral), Aix-en-Provence (not far from Nice but gorgeous, esp at that time of year), Saint-Etienne (pretty Loire town that mixes old and modern very well) or Dijon (again with the food theme!). All of them can be overnight stops allowing for some time to explore.
Have fun!
