From what I've seen on this site, almost everyone is in love with Eagle Creek packs, so I decided to check them out. I found one that I like, but I'm kind of a backpacking novice, so I don't know if it's right. I'm 18 years old, about 5'7'' and weigh about 115 lbs. I'm pretty lean but muscular as well. My best friend and I are going to Germany, Italy and France for 3 weeks. What do you think about this pack? www.eaglecreek.com/bags_luggage/adventure_travel_packs/Explorer-LT-Womens-Fit-10048/

mcfish123, that particular Pack looks is about the right size for a travel pack IMHO, and it has some good features. However, your torso length is a more important criteria in fitting a pack than your overall height. I believe that Pack fits a torso range of 15-19" (it's listed on the EC website).
If you have a shop in your area that stocks EC products, the best idea is to get them to measure your torso length and try one out fully loaded for a couple of hours. You'll also have to give serious thought on whether this size will fit the gear that you want to bring on the trip (keep in mind the "Pack Light" philosophy!). It's about the same size as my "older" Continental Journey, and that's the size I like to travel with. I packed along too much kit on my last trip, and ended up using the Daypack for "overflow". I'm definitely going to pack lighter next time!!!
One other point to make, if you decide that you want the Pack shown in the link, you can buy it from retailers on this website which helps to support our efforts here.
Good luck!
