Morocco?

I'll be traveling through Europe this summer and I really want to stop by Morocco while I'm moving through southern Spain. Has anyone ever been? Is it worth the trip? One of my friends took a caravan tour through the desert and really enjoyed it...I was thinking of making time for something like that.

I've never been to Morocco but one of my friends went there in February, and she loved it so much she's trying to apply to teach there.
